PIEDMONT SALONE DEL GUSTO & WINE-COUNTRY TASTING TOUR
In celebration of the 2016
Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre in Turin, Villa Sampaguita
is offering a Piedmont tasting tour with accommodation at our beautiful
bed and breakfast just outside Asti in the heart of the wine region
and 40 minutes drive to Turin Lingotto Fair.
The tour includes 2 visits to Salone del Gusto and
Turin as well as tours of the Barolo and Barbaresco wine areas,
sampling some of Italy’s finest wines and cuisine, including
a truffle hunt and a visit to the Alba truffle fair.

Salone Del Gusto
|
Leave at 9.30 for Turin. Your Driver will
drop you Salone Del Gusto for a day of browsing food hall
or taking in taste workshops. Pickup at 6 pm and return to
Villa Sampaguita.

Saturday September 24
Tartufo Bianco
Truffle hunt and Alba
truffle fair.

9.30 am departure. First stop Costigliole
for a (white) truffle hunt at La Casa del Trifalau. Then off
to Alba for lunch and the Alba Truffle fair.

Sunday September
25
Barolo
The king of wines and the
wine of kings
|
Leave at 9.30 am; first stop Marchiesi di
Barolo winery
in Barolo for a tasting tour, followed by lunch at
Osterie Vignaiolo near La Morra. Then a visit to nearby
Erbaluna (organic) winery and a tour of the Barolo wine
Area.

Italy’s Best Kept
Secret |
Last day of Salone del Gusto. Free day in
Turin for Salone del Gusto or site seeing. Leave around 9.30
am and drive to Turin, the old royal capital of Piedmont and
Italy, with its baroque piazze and many palaces. Your driver
will take you to Salone del Gusto for food browsing and lunch
or drop you in the centre of the old town for shopping or
checking out the many museums and galleries.
Pickup at 6 pm and return to Villa Sampaguita
for farewell dinner.

We transport you to the airport or train
station. |

Tour includes: Pickup at train station or
airport, stay at Villa Sampaguita B&B with dinner (unless noted);
mini-bus to Turin and wine country; tickets for Salone del gusto;
wine tasting; truffle hunt.
Taste workshops should be booked directly with Terre
Madre Salone del Gusto 2016. We suggest that you become a member
of Slow Food to enjoy discounts and priority.
Please contact us for tour prices, we can accomodate
up to a maximum of 14 people.
Of course you may stay at Villa Sampaguita during
the festival week without taking the tour, and depending on space
you may join selected parts.
Of course we can also arrange custom tours as well.
