Piedmontese people celebrate the good life with innumerable festivals and fairs all year round, with lots of wine and food. In spring and summer almost every weekend one of the provincial towns has a "Sagre" feast featuring the local food and wine. These are a wonderful way to experience the real flavour of Piedmont. We have listed only a few of these events and there are many others, including patron saint festivals, musical concerts, theatrical and cultural events, sporting events, open castles, antique fairs and street markets every week. This list is only for Asti Province; there are many other festivals around the Langhe Hills (Alba, Bra, Cuneo) nearby, (www.langhe.net) and in Torino (www.turismotorino.org). Whenever you come, there will nearly always be a festival nearby.
